Start with a harmless example
Choose a low-stakes task, such as turning fictional meeting notes into a checklist. Do not paste private customer records, credentials or sensitive personal information into a tool.
State the task and the boundaries
Tell the assistant what you need, what facts it may use, and what it should leave unknown. Ask it to separate supplied facts from suggestions. Our workflow worksheet includes a starter prompt.
Check each factual claim
Open original sources when an answer depends on outside facts. Confirm that a source supports the specific claim and is current enough for the task. A plausible link or a confident sentence is not verification.
Try the result on a small sample
For a checklist, compare it against the source notes. For a formula, try known inputs and inspect the result. For code or automation, use a safe test environment before important data or external actions.
Keep the useful part
Correct missing details and remove unsupported claims. Decide what a person needs to approve. Save the reviewed result and its sources in your own project notes.
